About Telios

Athletic performance has always deserved better data.

Telios is a Houston-based sports performance technology company that brings objective, measurable feedback to volleyball training. Founded by a coach and built at the Ion, Telios introduces the Objective Performance Development (OPD) methodology: a framework that teaches coaches and athletes to measure what drives winning, with wearable performance technology for founding partner programs.

The origin

A question that kept coming back.

Karen Morgan spent years coaching and observing athletic programs before starting Telios. The pattern she kept seeing: talented athletes plateau not because of lack of effort, but because the feedback they receive cannot tell them precisely what to change.

The problem is not bad coaching. It is a system that has barely changed in decades. Feedback is subjective, progress is felt rather than proven, and no shared language exists between coaches and athletes for what good actually looks like.

The OPD framework is the answer to that problem. Five steps that work in any gym, with any sport, requiring no equipment to begin. The Telios System is the technology that scales it, and it arrives only after the framework has roots.

How we operate
Mission

Build the standard for objective performance development in school athletics. Give every program the tools to see what is actually happening, say it clearly, and document whether it improves.

Method

Start with a framework your program implements today. No hardware, no installation. Structured observation, objective feedback, and documented progress. The technology layer comes next.

Model

Schools that join as founding partners invest in the program and help shape the technology being built for them. The OPD methodology and the Telios System evolve together.

Founder

“Your funding builds the program. In return, you’re first in line for the technology that scales it.”
